Biography:
A soulful blend of classic country, rockabilly, folk and old school rock and roll, Slim Jim & The Redeemers unite musical traditions and instrumentation with evocative, intelligent lyrics to create a sound uniquely their own. The result is music that possesses, as no less an observer than Ian Siegal observed, that rare and “magic thing of sounding original but familiar without being a rip off or obvious”.
The genetic splicing of frontman Slim Jim's authentic South Carolina-via-New York Americana style onto the Spanish drums / electric guitar rhythm hub of Frisco and Marc (with the organic binding agent of Brit Ian on bass) formed the nucleus of the band in 2020.
The making of "The Milky Way Motel" EP involved a half-dozen other multi-national instrumentalists [names can be found for individual songs on BandCamp https://slimjimandtheredeemers.bandcamp.com/] before "The Redeemers" solidified with the addition of Adelene on vocals and Mary on violin and vocals (from France and South Carolina respectively) to put the frosting onto the cake of Slim Jim and the Redeemers.

Con una fusión embriagadora de country, rockabilly, folk y rock and roll de la vieja escuela, Slim Jim & the Redeemers aglutinan tradición musical e instrumentación con letras evocadoras e inteligentes para crear un sonido propio, único. El resultado es una música que posee, nada menos que en palabras del músico Ian Siegal, “aquello tan raro y mágico que es tener un sonido original, pero que al mismo tiempo resulta familiar, aunque sin que por ello parezca obvio ni se apropie de un sonido ajeno”.
La unión genética del auténtico estilo americano de Carolina del Sur-vía Nueva York del líder, Slim Jim, junto con la esencia rítmica de la batería española de Marc y guitarra eléctrica de Frisco, más el agente aunador del británico Ian en el bajo, formó el núcleo de la banda en 2020.
La producción del EP “The Milky Way Motel” involucró a media docena de instrumentalistas de múltiples nacionalidades [sus nombres se citan las canciones, disponibles en Bandcamp https://slimjimandtheredeemers.bandcamp.com/] antes de que “The Redeemers” se fortaleciera con la adición de la francesa Adeline, que pone voz, y Mary, de Carolina del Sur, que además de voz pone su violín. Así, Slim Jim and the Redeemers se establece como una formación sólida.
